Billy’s Story
Growing up in Fair Play, Billy Bruce was born and raised for life on the farm. Over the years, he has spent a lot of time at auctions, and is currently an auctioneer at Bruce & LeAN Auction & Appraisals LLC, a family-owned business. Billy specializes in farm equipment and livestock which means he brings a lot of expertise to the table when it comes to buying and selling farms and land in today’s real estate market.
Billy has been auctioning off real estate for most of his life, but it wasn’t until about a year and a half ago that he became a licensed real estate agent and joined the Missouri Home, Farm & Land Realty, LLC team. Billy shared his inspiration for pursuing a career in real estate and said, “I enjoy the interaction with the client and the challenges involved in helping them take the next step whether that is expanding or downsizing.” After some time in the business, Billy has discovered that his favorite part of the real estate world is helping clients achieve their goals, whatever those goals might be. This is part of what makes Billy so great at this job!
It is never a dull moment at Missouri Home, Farm & Land Realty, LLC, and when asked about blooper moments on the job, Billy said, “I have outstanding coworkers and enjoy working with them. That being said, every day has a high possibility for a blooper.”
Another major inspiration in Billy’s life is his family. Billy is married to his beautiful wife Kalena, and they will celebrate their seventh wedding anniversary this June. Four years ago, the couple was blessed with their fun, outgoing daughter, Willa Grace. Billy says this girl has got a “huge personality!” These girls are the loves of Billy’s life!

“Be patient. It’s a huge decision to make. And when it feels right, jump.”
If you could only tell people one tip about SELLING a home, what would your advice be?
“Do more to receive more. As most people continue to live in the home they are selling, first impressions are everything. From curb appeal to walking in that front door. Highlight that WOW factor.”
How would you define a successful home sale?
“By the smiles at closing. When both parties involved are excited, pleased or at ease, then it is a success.”

“Dance. My wife loves to dance. I am horrible.”
