People want their home to be soothing and serene to escape the fast pace of modern life and technology. Therefore, the homes of 2020 will be inspired by the beauty of nature – sky, earth, water and plant life. Take a look at next year’s paint color trends according to some of the top paint companies in the U.S.

First Light

Benjamin Moore's 2020 Color of the Year - First Light

A soft blush tone plucked right out of a painted sunset sky, “First Light” is a fresh alternative to white, beige, or gray from Benjamin Moore. Andre Magno, Benjamin Moore’s director of color marketing and development, says, “We selected First Light 2102-70 as our color of the year 2020 to represent a new dawn of idealism, design and living. First Light 2102-70 reflects a new definition of the home –a shift in mindset from the material to satisfying the core needs in life: community, comfort, security, self-expression, authenticity and, ultimately, optimism.” This blush tone pairs gorgeously with soft greens, blues, and golds, a pallette right out of the flower bed.
