Facebook Hack: How to Search for Properties

The Internet is an amazing tool, when we know how to use it. One of our goals at Missouri Home, Farm & Land Realty, LLC, is to make our real estate listings easily accessible for YOU. Some people prefer to utilize our website and keep up with our new listings there. Others enjoy our daily Facebook posts that feature properties currently on the market. Still others would prefer to come into our office and find out about our listings face to face.

What you may not have known, is that you can search our properties ON FACEBOOK! We know MOST people are on Facebook at some point during the day checking out adorable pictures from their niece’s birthday party or watching videos from today’s news clips. So, here is what we’re going to call a Facebook Hack: How to search for real estate listings on our Facebook page. We have a video for you as well as step-by-step directions below. Who knew Facebook could be so handy?


Find properties that are for sale in the area of your choice.

Option 1 – Search by Location

  1. Start on Missouri Home, Farm & Land Realty LLC’s Facebook page.
  2. Click on “Property Search” in the left column.
  3. Select the location(s) you would like to search in from the drop-down list.
  4. Limit your search by completing the following fields (optional):
    1. Property Type
    2. Minimum Price
    3. Maximum Price
    4. Minimum Square Footage
    5. Beds (number of bedrooms)
    6. Baths
  5. Limit your search even further by selecting one of the following (optional):
    1. Open Homes
    2. New (Within 7 Days)
  6. Click the green button that says “Search.”
  7. Scroll down to view properties that fit your search criteria.
  8. Click on the address or image of the property you are interested in to view the details of the listing.

Option 2 – Search by Drawing on Map

  1. Start on Missouri Home, Farm & Land Realty LLC’s Facebook page.
  2. Click on “Property Search” in the left column.
  3. Click on the tab that says “Draw on Map” below the heading “Property Search.”
  4. Click on the map to begin.
    1. Click and drag the map to find the area you are interested in.
    2. Use the + and – buttons to zoom in and out.
  5. Once you find the general area you’d like to search in, draw a polygon to limit the area of your search.
    1. Click to plot each point.
    2. Once you’ve drawn your polygon, you can edit it by dragging any point to a new location.
  6. Once you have a completed polygon, click the green button that says “Search.”
  7. See the map with properties listed within the area you selected. Scroll down to see individual listings within this region.
  8. Click on the address or image of the property you are interested in to view the details of the listing.

Find properties listed by MOHFL in the area of your choice.

  1. Start on Missouri Home, Farm & Land Realty LLC’s Facebook page.
  2. Click on “Featured Properties” in the left column.
  3. See the properties scattered on the map and scroll down to see the individual listings.
  4. Click on the listing(s) you are interested in to view more details on our website.
